Privacy & Data Handling Policy

ChainVerify is designed with privacy-first Web3 principles.

1. What is stored on the Blockchain

Only the cryptographic hash (a string of random letters and numbers) and the wallet address of the issuer are stored on the public Ethereum blockchain. No personal student data or document files are stored on the blockchain.

2. What is stored on our secure Database

To provide a user-friendly verification experience, our secure Firebase database temporarily links the document hash to the Student's Name and the Institution's Name.

3. Document Privacy

The actual PDF files are processed locally in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers, ensuring absolute data sovereignty for your institution and your students.
